Do you offer rentals for children as well as adults?
Yes, packages are available for all ages. We offer boots and skis in the smallest and largest sizes available up to a men’s size 17 boot.
Is the rental equipment custom-fitted?
Yes, each package is professionally fit to maximize your skiing or snowboarding experience starting with properly fitted comfortable boots.
Do you carry the latest models of skis and snowboards?
Yes, the shop features the latest gear with premium boots, skis and snowboards. Manufacturers include Blizzard, K2, Rossignol, Volkl, Solomon, Line and many more!
What if I’m a beginner? Can you help me choose the right gear?
Yes, our professional staff will fit gear based on your ability level and skiing style, including whether you’re classified as a Type I, II, or III skier. Even if you’ve never skied before you will benefit from our high quality gear. Never a “one size fits all” like other rental locations.
What types of equipment can I rent?
You can rent skis, snowboards, boots, poles, helmets, jackets, pants, goggles and helmets. Equipment is available for all ages and experience levels. Some accessories, snowshoes, XC skis are available in our North Conway location only. Contact us or book in advance to verify availability.
How much does a ski or snowboard rental cost?
Kid’s packages, (skis, boots & poles) start at $25. Adult skis start at $35, with multi-day discounts and season-long rental options also available.
Can I rent equipment for more than one day?
Yes, equipment rentals are available for one day, several days, a few weeks or an entire season.
Can I pick up my equipment early?
Yes, anytime after 3 PM the day before as available. Equipment is due back by 5:30 the last day of your rental. Morning after drop off is also available.
What are your store hours?
Generally, our stores are open daily from 8 AM to 5:30 PM with extended hours Friday nights & holiday periods, in season. Check our Google Business listing for updated hours.
Do you provide custom boot fitting with rentals?
Yes, we measure your feet. Boots are professionally fit to ensure comfort and performance.
Do you carry the latest ski and snowboard models?
Yes, we buy over 50 different models of skis and boots every year for our rental fleet.
How long has Great American Ski Rentals been in business?
Great American Ski Renting Company has been a trusted outfitter for over 30 years.
Do I need to make a reservation, or can I walk in?
Reservations are highly recommended to save time and guarantee availability, but walk-ins are also welcome as available as well.

Do you really wax & sharpen your skis & boards after every use?
Yes! Every time. All equipment is professionally prepared, cleaned, disinfected and ready for a great day on snow!
Can I rent a ski or board package for the entire season?
Yes, we have the very best seasonal rentals! Pick up in the fall and return in April. You can change the equipment as often as you like during the season as well.
Do you rent just alpine skis & snowboards?
In addition to the very best boards, we rent XC gear, AT skis, snowshoes, fat bikes and most accessories as well. Some specialized equipment must be reserved in advance.
Do you sell skis & equipment?
Yes, if you love your gear you can buy any or all of it at a discounted price! We have new, used & demo equipment including all accessories available.
Do you have different types of skis?
We have ’em all! Ladies skis, Kids, Race, Powder, Carving, XC, AT and many more!
